The European Union has unveiled a set of guidelines, known as the AI content labelling playbook, which aims to help companies meet transparency rules that will become law in just a few weeks. The guidelines are meant to assist businesses that build and use generative artificial intelligence in order to comply with EU regulations by August 2.
According to the European Commission, the final version of the Code was released on June 10, setting out practical steps for companies to follow in order to mark their AI-generated content with clear and accurate information. The guidelines cover a range of topics, including data processing, model evaluation, and human oversight requirements.
The EU's AI Act is set to come into force on August 2, which means that all relevant regulations will be implemented by the deadline. As a result, companies must start implementing these new transparency measures in order to avoid any fines or penalties. The labelling guidelines are available to anyone who needs them and can be accessed at the European Commission's website.
