Gatik, the autonomous trucking company, has secured $200 million in funding for its driverless freight operations across North America. The Series D round was led by Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies, with participation from Millennium Management, ARK Invest, Intact Private Capital, and other investors.
Gatik had raised over $600 million in total funding prior to this latest round. With the new investment, the company plans to expand its fleet of autonomous trucks and increase its presence on major highways across the United States and Canada. The funding will also be used to further develop Gatik's AI-powered trucking vision, which uses machine learning algorithms to optimize routes and improve driver safety.
Gatik's autonomous freight operations have been gaining traction in recent years, with several major logistics companies already partnering with the company to test its technology. The new investment brings Gatik's valuation to over $2 billion, making it one of the most valuable private companies in North America. With this funding round, Gatik is poised to further revolutionize the trucking industry and transform the way goods are moved across the continent.
