Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of an enterprise-focused AI platform called ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex, expanding its employees' access to artificial intelligence tools for technical and non-technical work. According to OpenAI, the deployment covers all Samsung Electronics employees in Korea and all Device eXperience (DX) employees worldwide, which includes smartphones, consumer electronics, and home appliances. This move comes after AI restrictions were lifted globally.
The DX division is a key focus of this new platform, with ChatGPT Enterprise offering advanced AI capabilities for technical roles such as product development and testing, while Codex provides more general AI tools that can be used by non-technical staff across various departments. The company plans to use these platforms to enhance its employees' productivity and competitiveness in the market.
As part of this expansion, Samsung is also enhancing its existing enterprise-focused platform Codex, which has been gaining attention for its AI capabilities in customer service, supply chain management, and other areas. By offering a wider range of tools and access points through ChatGPT Enterprise, Samsung aims to bridge the gap between technical expertise and non-technical support, ultimately benefiting employees' work experience and overall business performance.
