AMD has agreed to invest up to $5 billion in Anthropic, a company that specializes in artificial intelligence and natural language processing technology. Under the deal, AMD's Instinct MI450-series accelerators will be used to power up to two gigawatts of capacity, with deployment scheduled for the first half of 2027.
