Elon Musk is still far from achieving his goal of becoming the world's richest person. According to Bloomberg's Billionaires Index, which takes into account the net worth of billionaires in real-time, Musk remains a significant but not yet towering figure in the billionaire club.
Currently, Musk's net worth stands at around $230 billion, making him slightly over half of 500 trillion dollars, another index that tracks the world's wealthiest individuals. His Tesla stock price has been fluctuating wildly in recent months, which likely affects his overall net worth. On average, however, he would need to increase his stake by nearly $50 billion for him to break into the top 10 of billionaires.
Despite being a billionaire himself, Musk still lags behind other tech giants like Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg, who are currently sitting on vast fortunes of over $1 trillion each. It remains to be seen whether Musk can overcome these odds and become one of the world's wealthiest individuals in the coming years.
